Abstract Submission

3 Minute Presentation:

For the first time as a part of the competitive scientific program in Mid Term CME, a unique T-20 version of oral research presentation is being organized. To present your research in 3 minutes with just one slide can be quite a challenge. The 3 minute thesis competition is a research communication competition originally developed by the University of Queensland. Presenters have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their research and its significance. It challenges to consolidate the ideas and research discoveries to be presented concisely to any audience.

If you think you have it in you to present your research in 180 seconds with just one power point slide without using any animation; then send us a 100-word abstract and the single slide.

Rules for 3-minute presentation:

     •  Participation by prior registration only. No spot entries allowed. Entry restricted to 15 participants.

     •  Participants have to register for IAPMR Mid Term CME 2018.

     •  Selection for the contest is based on abstract and the slide submitted. Abstract should be less than 100 words.
         The power point with single slide to be uploaded with the abstract.

     •  A single static Power Point slide is permitted.

     •  No slide transitions, animations or ‘movement’ of any description allowed. No external links to website or video or audio file allowed. The slide is to be
         presented from the beginning of the oration.

     •  No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permittedp

     •  No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipments) are permitted

     •  Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitions exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified

     •  Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs)

     •  Presentations are to commence from the stage

     •  Presentation slide size should be (10 inches width and 7.5 inches height)

     •  Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through movement or speech

     •  The decisions of the adjudicating panel is final.

     •  Last date for abstract submission 14th August 2018.

     •  Attractive cash prize for the best 3 presenters

     •  Participation certificates to all the presenters.

Poster competition:

Present your research in the form of a poster.

    •  Please send an abstract in less than 100 words.

    •  Participants should have registered for IAPMR Mid Term CME 2018.

    •  Last date for abstract submission 14thh August 2018.     • Posters will be displayed on 14th & 15th September 2018

    •  Each Poster is given a number. Please use the Board with the same number as allotted to the poster on the date of presentation.

    •  Presentation will be on 14th September 2018 during tea and lunch breaks. Please be available near your poster during this time.

    •  Cash prizes will be given for three best posters and will be declared in the Valedictory Function.

    •  Participation certificates to all the participants.

    • There will be a poster helpdesk at registration counter for any assistance required.
